Width of your scarf is not as important as the length. If you are a loose knitter, go down a needle size. If you are a tight knitter, go up a needle size. Just Roll With it! On the size 13 needle, my gauge was about 3 to 3 1/2 sts to the inch and 7 rows of the Scarf measured 2 1/2”. If I used the 2 strands of sock weight rayon, I used the size 13. If I used sock weight yarn, I used the size 11. Use a size that is comfortable with the thin yarn. Gauge: This pattern calls for a size 11 or 13 needle. US#11 or 13 circular needle, Circular needle is absolutely necessary! On any Thin yarn that you hold doubled, you will need twice the amount called for below. Just go dig through your stash and have fun using up odd balls of sock yarn and novelty yarn that we all tend to have in our stashes.
I have used 2 strands of lace weight held together, one strand of sock weight, 2 strands of sock weight rayon yarn. I have to admit to liking the Colorama the best. I have used Lion Brand Incredible, Bernat Colorama, Knit One Crochet Two Tartelette. You will only use this yarn every 7 rows and it will be carried up the side of the Thin yarn sections, until it is needed again. Īny ribbon, bulky, odd novelty yarn will work.
So knit it and “Just Roll With It, Baby”! My favorite way to wear it is a Four-in-Hand. GET ON THROUGH IT, ROLL WITH IT, BABY LUCKLL COME AND THEN SLIP AWAY, YOUVE GOTTA MOVE, BRING IT BACK TO STAY YOU JUST ROLL WITH IT, BABY, COME ON AND.
I call this Scarf “Just Roll With It, Baby” because it does have a tendency to roll in at the edges, but I do not consider this a design flaw, since skinny scarves are less bulky around the neck and can be woven in cool ways around the neck without suffocating you. You are going to need a Thick yarn and a Thin yarn for this Scarf. Finished Measurements: 6 1/3” wide by 84” long
